This is my first motorhome and I am happy to say that it has turned out exactly the way I wanted it. There’s lots of storage space, no rattling when driving and 6 months from buying I still haven’t had any problems. I would recommend it to anyone wanting a stylish motorhome at a reasonable price.

Bought some 3 years ago from Marquis Plymouth

Serviced by them pre take over then off to Spain for 6 months!

First night Double bed collapsed, slats not right size. Used as singles ever since.

During 10 day trip down, Heater problem on Gas, Battery had to be changed (see above)

Bed support broke, Magazine rack came off, and other small irritating things happened, so much so that my wife asked ,What is going wrong next with this blooming thing,.

Rang Marquis, `will fix all outstanding items on return to Plymouth `.

    6 months later:-

    Returned to UK.

Van with Marquis for repairs all done apart from BED. Service manager ` We are not doing that`.

I proceeded to showroom and in a loud voice shouted `the after sales service here is XXXXXXX attrocious`, this did cause some consternation as showroom was full with potential customers. sales manager went into conflab with service manager

Eventual compromise reached - I was provided with ply wood tops for the slats! (they refused to do any proper repairs).

When checking van beds at a later date with a view to making a DIY full repair it was discovered that the two single beds at each side of rear of caravan were not parallel, so although the slats fitted at the back as one pulled them forward to fill in the gap they just fell through!

Clearly this was a manufacturers error so phoned Autotrail.

Singularly (but pleasantly) unhelpful would do nothing on a van over 3 years old. Suggested the gap could have widened due to movement in the van body!!!!

Did however add that fill ins defeated the aim of the slats which was to give ventilation to mattress bottom.

So if buying an Autotrail check the operation of the beds if you intend to use them as a double.

Be very carefull buying from Marquis - their after sales service has flaws.

If Autotrail or Marquis see this please be aware I have all the necessery evidence to back up my statements.

Finally it has to be said the design of the Cheyenne is excellent, its the build quality that leaves much to be desired.
